საქართველოში სახელმწიფო შესყიდვები ერთიანი ელექტრონული სისტემის გამოყენებით 2010 წლიდან ხორციელდება. ამ სისტემის მიზანია მიმწოდებლებისათვის სახელმწიფო შესყიდვებში მონაწილეობის პროცესის გამარტივება და პროცესის გამჭირვალობის უზურნველყოფა. სახელმწიფო შესყიდვების სააგენტოს მიხედვით, „ყოველწლიურად სახელმწიფო ასეულობით მილიონ ლარს ხარჯავს სხვადასხვა საქონლის, მომსახურებისა თუ სამშენებლო სამუშაოების შესყიდვაზე.
