სომხეთში, აზერბაიჯანსა და საქართველოში მოსახლეობის საკმაოდ დიდი ნაწილი კვლავ სიღარიბეში ცხოვრობს და ძვირადღირებული ელექტროტექნიკის შეძენა არ შეუძლია. CRRC-საქრთველოს მიერ 2013წელს ჩატარებული გამოკითხვის, კავკასიის ბარომეტრის მონაცემების მიხედვით, საქართველოში მოსახლეობის 28% აცხადებს, რომ საკვებზე ფული არ ჰყოფნის; 33%-ს საკვებისთვის ფული აქვს, მაგრამ ტანსაცმლის შესაძენად – არა და 31% აცხადებს, რომ ფული საკვებსა და ტანსაცმელზე ჰყოფნის, მაგრამ არ შეუძლია ძვირადღირებული ტექნიკის შეძენა.
