Report | Violence Against Women in Politics in Georgia

Year: 2022

The study gathered the experiences of women in politics in Georgia and examined the factors that facilitate and/or obstruct women’s engagement in politics, including the forms of violence against women in politics, women’s experiences with seeking support, and the impact of violence on women’s engagement in politics and leadership.

This study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining a quantitative survey of women involved in politics with the findings of in-depth interviews with women politicians and experts.

The publication was produced within the UN Joint Programme for Gender Equality with the financial support of Sweden. CRRC Georgia administered the National Study on Violence against Women in Politics (VAWP) in Georgia.
