CRRC Georgia’s reserachers presented the findings of new studies!

Today, researchers from CRRC Georgia presented the findings of studies conducted within the framework of the project “Countering Anti-Democratic Propaganda for Engagement (CAPE)” to the public.

The first study, titled “Media and Disinformation: Consumption Habits, Perceptions and Coping Skills,” examined the main media consumption habits in society, perceptions related to disinformation, and the skills to cope with it. The study is based on a representative telephone survey of Georgia’s Georgian-speaking adult population, conducted in February 2025, with the participation of 2,351 adults.

The second study, “The Spread of Anti-Western Narratives on Facebook,” highlighted the main anti-Western narratives and the actors spreading them, as identified through social media monitoring. The monitoring was carried out from late November 2024 through February 2025.

The research findings were presented by Lia Chkhetiani, Data Collection Manager at CRRC Georgia, Senior Researcher Tinatin Bandzeladze, and Senior Researcher Mariam Kobaladze.

The studies were conducted with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
