This report examines the spread of anti-Western narratives and political messaging on Facebook in Georgia within the framework of the project “Polarization and Disinformation in Georgia.” Its purpose is to identify the main narratives, key actors, and communication strategies used to influence public opinion across Georgian-, Armenian-, and Azerbaijani-speaking audiences.
The study is based on systematic monitoring of 16 public Facebook pages and groups over a one-year period, with this report focusing on June to November 2025. A total of 1,756 posts were analyzed in depth to assess recurring themes, actors, tone of representation, dissemination patterns, and techniques of information manipulation.
The report was prepared within the project “Countering Anti-Democratic Propaganda Through Engagement,” implemented by CRRC-Georgia with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
