Sociological Research for the Evaluation of the State of Democracy in Georgia

Project objective: Data collection for Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) experts, responsible for the development of analytic reports for the OSGF/IDEA joint research activity that aims to evaluate the state of democracy in Georgia in the following areas:
  1. Professional unions and social security
  2. Education
  3. Healthcare
  4. Media
  5. Government
  6. Political parties
  7. Parliament
  8. Courts
  9. Corruption
 
Research design: Quantitative: Public opinion survey representative of the adult population of Georgia and population of the capital of Georgia:
  • Fieldwork dates: 16-27 November, 2018
  • Sampling method: Stratified cluster sampling
  • Number of completed interviews: 1786
  • Average margin of error: 2.9%

Qualitative: Focus groups with field experts and activists based on the areas that the project focuses on.
Output: Presentation of the public opinion survey results in Georgian and data visualizations.
