Zakaria is an MA student at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, in the faculty of Journalism.

Before joining the CRRC Junior Fellowship Program, Zakaria was involved in media monitoring projects at Transparency International – Georgia and Internews – Georgia. He has also worked as a monitoring specialist at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development for more than one year.

His research interests include media, social capital and segregation. Zakaria is also curious about philosophy, modern social theory and visual sociology.
