Sophio Mtchedlishvili holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and her specialization is Social Psychology. Sophio is currently studying for her M.A. in International Affairs at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).

Since February 2011 she has been a Junior Fellow at CRRC.

Her research interests are mainly related to politics, national security, and social issues.
