Junior Fellowship

The CRRC-Georgia Junior Fellowship Program (JFP), launched in 2009, is a 5-9 month program offering extensive work experience and training to selected fellows. It is a unique opportunity for social science-oriented youth looking to gain skill sets that are largely missing in Georgia, such as the ability to analyze complex issues quickly and comprehensively, proficiency in essential computer programs (including statistical programs), and the opportunity to work with extraordinarily experienced and committed colleagues and superiors. Junior Research Fellows are required to contribute to complex research projects on issues that are important to Georgia's future, write analytical policy papers, be active team members, and work hard.

Rati Shubladze

Rati Shubladze holds a BA in Social Sciences from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, where he specialized in Sociology. Currently he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Sciences at the Center for Social Sciences. Before joining CRRC’s Junior Fellowship Program, Rati was involved in a 2012 UNDP  pre-election project on media monitoring in Georgia. His research interests include Caucasus studies, media and elections.

David Kobalia

David holds a BA in Jurisprudence and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in European Studies at Tbilisi State University. Before joining CRRC, he contributed to different projects by conducting performance appraisals and performed other functions. His main research interests include political economy and the various dynamics of social change.

Madona Shildelashvili

Madona holds a BA in Social Sciences from the American University for Humanities in Tbilisi, faculty of International Relations. Prior to becoming a CRRC Junior Research Fellow, she managed a voluntary project within the framework of the Joint Civic Education program. Madona has also completed long-term internships at the US Embassy in Tbilisi and Peace Corps / Georgia. Her research interests include juvenile crime and unemployment.

Nata Kereselidze

Natalie holds a BA in International Relations from Malmö University in Sweden and a MA in Global Political Economy from City University London. Before becoming a research fellow at CRRC, Natalie worked for the Athens-based think tank, The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS). She started working on the FP7 project funded by the European Commission while simultaneously working on her thesis in London. She transferred to the ICBSS home office as a research assistant after completing her MA studies in September 2012.  Natalie also worked as a foreign correspondent for The Messenger during 2010-2011. She completed internships at the Council of Europe and the Permanent Representation of Georgia to the Council of Europe, in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Additionally,...

Tamar Burduli

Tamar Burduli holds a BA Degree in Business Administration from the Georgian-American University in Tbilisi with a major in General Management. Currently Tamar is working on her MA degree in Conflict Analysis and Management at Tbilisi State University. She has spent a semester at the University of ISCID in Dunkirk, France as an exchange student studying Negotiation, Marketing and French.  Prior to joining CRRC as a Junior Research Fellow, Tamar was involved in various projects in private and non-governmental sectors, including debt collection, procurement and non-formal education. She conducted several research projects during her studies. Her research interests relate to socio-political, economic and cultural factors that determine societal development.

Irina Vardanashvili

Irina Vardanashvili holds two Bachelor’s degrees: one in Business Administration in Banks and Finances and another in Psychology. Currently she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychological Anthropology at Tbilisi State University. During her studies, she has taken part in various sociological and psychological research projects. In March 2012, she became a Junior Fellow at CRRC. Her research interests include political, cultural and religious issues.

Nino Kerkadze

Nino Kerkadze holds a BA in Social Sciences from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and an MA from Ilia State University. Her specialization is in sociology. Before joining CRRC’s Junior Fellowship Program, Nino was involved in various marketing and sociological research projects. She has also worked as a project assistant for the European Centre for Minority Issues. Her research interests include issues of various types of minority groups.

Gvantsa Nadiradze

Gvantsa Nadiradze earned her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Human Resources Management at Ilia State University. Currently, she is studying for her M.A. in Sociology at Ilia State University. While she was a student, she was engaged in different sociological and marketing research projects. Her research interests are issues of gender based problems, value systems, and social capital. She is also interested in sociological theories, especially in modern sociology.
