This blog examines the level of knowledge Georgians have about the European Union, particularly regarding EU demographics, policies, and economic relations with Georgia. Its purpose is to assess public awareness and understanding of these topics in the context of widespread social media information and misinformation about the EU.
To explore this issue, CRRC-Georgia conducted two experimental online quizzes shared and advertised on Facebook in Georgian. The quizzes contained 7-10 questions on EU demographics and EU–Georgia economic relations and were designed as interactive games to encourage voluntary participation from users.
The blog was prepared within the project “Countering Anti-Democratic Propaganda Through Engagement,” implemented by CRRC-Georgia with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
