Before joining the CRRC Junior Fellowship Program, Nino was involved in the projects, Interrelations between Public Policies, Migration and Development (OECD) and the UNDP’s Media Monitoring (2014) project at CRRC. David Mzikyan

David Mzikyan holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Business Administration from Tbilisi State University and a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the Eastern Partnership Regional Programme.

Prior to joining the CRRC’s Junior Fellowship Program, David was involved in various projects in the private and non-governmental sectors. His research interests relate to political transformation in the South Caucasus following the breakup of the Soviet Union.

Maka Chkhaidze

Maka Chkhaidze graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili State University with an MA in Cultural, Political and Social Psychology. Currently she is a PhD student at Ilia State University and is specializing in cultural studies. Before becoming a Junior Fellow, she participated in a number of research projects. Tamar Chkhaidze

Tamuna Chkhaidze holds a BA in Social Sciences from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a major in psychology. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in psychological anthropology (Interdisciplinary). Before joining the CRRC’s Junior Fellowship Program, she was involved in a research project which aimed to study national and religious attitudes in Georgian youth funded by Academic Swiss Caucasus Net and worked as Focus Group Moderator in a survey for evaluating the Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training (ACETT) program funded by USAID. She also participated in research conducted with the aim of adapting in Georgian society diagnostic instruments for autism and was an intern in McLain Association for Children (MAC) Behavioral Management.

She was also involved in Youth in Action Program, which took place at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. Her research interests include understanding the full sweep and complexity of cultures across all of human history, and the application of this kind of knowledge to the solution of human problems.

Edisher Baghaturia

Edisher Baghaturia holds a BA in International Relations from Tbilisi State University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Politics at the same university. Before becoming a Junior Fellow at CRRC, Edisher was involved in a media monitoring project at Transparency International - Georgia. He has also worked as a researcher/interviewer for the Darmstadt University project “EU Democracy Promotion in South Caucasus and Central Asia.”

Edisher also completed a long-term analyst preparation program at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS). His fields of interest include foreign policy analysis and security issues. He is also interested in social and cultural geography.

Alexander Jishkariani

Alexander Jishkariani holds a BA in Economics (Tbilisi State University) and an MA degree in Public Administration (GIPA). Prior to joining CRRC as a Junior Fellow, Alexander participated in a number of research projects and programs. He has worked on designing a policy paper in framework of GFSIS's project “Capacity Building for Georgian Leadership” from 2011-2012. The paper explored NGO cooperation perspectives with state and private sectors. Alexander also worked as a development project officer and logistics officer at British Council and the British Embassy. Alexander’s main research interests relate to civil society, youth development and sports.

Tamar Burduli

Tamar Burduli holds a BA Degree in Business Administration from the Georgian-American University in Tbilisi with a major in General Management. Currently Tamar is working on her MA degree in Conflict Analysis and Management at Tbilisi State University. She has spent a semester at the University of ISCID in Dunkirk, France as an exchange student studying Negotiation, Marketing and French. 

Prior to joining CRRC as a Junior Research Fellow, Tamar was involved in various projects in private and non-governmental sectors, including debt collection, procurement and non-formal education. She conducted several research projects during her studies. Her research interests relate to socio-political, economic and cultural factors that determine societal development.

Nata Kereselidze

Natalie holds a BA in International Relations from Malmö University in Sweden and a MA in Global Political Economy from City University London. Before becoming a research fellow at CRRC, Natalie worked for the Athens-based think tank, The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS). She started working on the FP7 project funded by the European Commission while simultaneously working on her thesis in London. She transferred to the ICBSS home office as a research assistant after completing her MA studies in September 2012. 

Natalie also worked as a foreign correspondent for The Messenger during 2010-2011. She completed internships at the Council of Europe and the Permanent Representation of Georgia to the Council of Europe, in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Additionally, Natalie worked as a program coordinator for the Foreign Affairs Association at Malmö University and served as an editor of Choix Magazine, a popular student journal, in London. Natalie has experience conducting interviews and analyzing qualitative data.
