CRRC Podcast | Episode 3 – “Why does sexual harassment persist in Georgia’s workplaces?”

The new episode of the CRRC Georgia’s Podcast is live – Why does sexual harassment persist in Georgia’s workplaces?

Despite alarmingly high rates of workplace sexual harassment in Georgia, affecting nearly a quarter of private sector employees and a third of civil servants, formal reporting remains rare, and the problem persists. This episode of the CRRC-Georgia Podcast explores why. Drawing on two in-depth studies conducted in partnership with UN Women and based on both survey data and interviews, the episode examines the social norms, power imbalances, and institutional failures that allow harassment to persist. From normalization and fear of retaliation to gaps in policy and training, we uncover the cultural and structural barriers that must be addressed to build safer workplaces in Georgia.
