This report examines anti-Western narratives disseminated on Facebook in Georgia between 29 November 2024 and 29 November 2025. Its purpose is to identify the main narratives, key actors, dissemination patterns, and manipulation techniques used across Georgian-, Armenian-, and Azerbaijani-speaking audiences in the context of ongoing political developments.
The study is based on one year of systematic monitoring of 16 selected public Facebook pages and groups targeting majority and minority-language audiences, with 4,017 posts analyzed in depth. Posts were selected through structured sampling and assessed according to thematic categories, mentioned actors, tone, language segment, and types of informational manipulation, with findings organized by narratives, actors, disseminators, and rhetorical characteristics.
The report was prepared within the project “Countering Anti-Democratic Propaganda Through Engagement,” implemented by CRRC-Georgia with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
