Baseline study on the Judiciary System in Georgia

Project objective: To study of the views of legal professionals on judicial institutions, access to justice, legal education in Georgia;

To study legal professionals' assessments on the performance of judicial institutions.

To study views and experiences of business in Georgia on the court system.
Research design: The study of the views of legal professionals (three waves of the study) consists of quantitative and qualitative components:
  • Quantitative - survey of acting judges, prosecutors and lawyers;
  • Qualitative - focus groups with lawyers, qualitative interviews with legal professionals.

The study of the views of businesses on the court system consists of quantitative and qualitative components:
  • Quantitative - survey of small, medium and large businesses in Georgia;
  • Qualitative - focus groups with small and medium business representatives, in-depth interviews with large businesses and legal firms.
