The 9th Annual CRRC Conference
Applications are now being accepted for our 9th annual conference entitled- New Frontiers: The South Caucasus Amidst New Challenges. This year conference will be dedicated to Russian-Ukrainian war which has altered the geopolitical, economic, and demographic state of the South Caucasus. We welcome quality scholarly contributions from emerging and established academics exploring the following broader topics: conflicts, displacement, and reconciliation; politics, power, and democracy; culture, values, and identity; economic development, digitalization, and energy; human migration and displacement, urban and environmental issues; civil society and activism.

This year’s conference will host two keynote talks and panels focused on methodological innovations in social sciences and policy analysis. In addition to methodological keynotes and panels, we also invite other authors who explore methodological innovations and address challenges to data collection, analysis, visualization, and dissemination. If a scholar wants to plan a panel himself, he should send panel’s title, abstract, and list of potential participants by 13 April, 2023.

The conference will be held on June 22-23, 2023 in a hybrid format: in Tbilisi and online. Panel presentations, roundtables, and keynote speeches will be broadcast via CRRC offices’ Facebook and Youtube pages. The conference language is English.  

Initial proposals, including an extended abstract (max. 500 words) and a CV, can be submitted via this form  by April 13, 2023. CRRC offices will notify successful participants via email. Final notification of acceptance will be issued in mid-May.
